We believe your creativity is sacred and prophetic. We believe you are a unique and unrepeatable manifestation of God. We believe God desires intimacy with you and wants to collaborate with you to create love, healing, and light in this world.
Our vocation is to help you rekindle a sense of wonder, play, delight, and magnanimity in your original identity as a child of God, so that you can bless yourself, your community, and the world through creative acts of love.
The modern mind has organization completely backwards. Being organized has nothing to do with being tidy or being in control. Tidiness and control sterilize and then kill your creativity.
"Organize" comes from the Greek word organon, which means "that with which one works." When you think of "organization", think of the organs in your body. They are the root of the word “organization”, and they are a wonderful combination of movement, messiness, and functionality.
You do not have to choose between being "creative" and being "organized" - in fact you can't choose between the two because they are literally the same thing. Play, creative expression, movement, order, taking action, letting things go - these are all essential elements of organization. Being organized is being alive.
In between "formlessness" and "formula" is "form". Form is composed of simple, flexible, and essential princples designed to be lived in particular ways by individuals. These principles enable fluidity and flourishment. They do not prevent it or hold it back, they facilitate it. Order and ease are friends, not enemies.
Paradoxically, limitations are freeing. We provide creators with superior results by leveraging the power of hard lines. We intentionally do not offer on-demand programs. Our flagship program is taught live, using traditional socractic style, beginning on a fixed date, and ending on a fixed date - this is rocket fuel for your focus, and ensures your experience is transformational.
Thinking is not a mental activity. Feeling is not an emotional activity. Choosing is not a willful activity. Rather, all of these are personal activities - actions of a person. By recognizing and respecting your holistic nature, our coaching re-empowers you to stop overthinking and start making sense again. Your sight returns to providing insight, information actually informs you, and your emotions provide healthy motion. Instead of "having a personal life", your whole life becomes personal.
Overwhelm is not a sign that the answer is missing; it's a sign that you're missing the answer. Not only does this mean that the answer exists, it also means some part of you knows the answer - otherwise you couldn't be aware that it's missing! Once you learn how to shift from overthinking to making sense, everything that feels like it's in the way delightfully becomes the way. Tension becomes ease. Feedback becomes flow.
We are made for community and made through community. Coaching is not something you need when things are going bad or when you are too weak to do something on your own. Coaching is the lived recognition and respect of the communal nature we all share.
A person feels most alive, most "themself", most fulfilled, when they get back in touch with their core self, cultivate it, and share it with others. When this happens, one is fully aligned, and there is no longer any distinction, in either belief or lived experience, between the words "mystical" and "mundane". Everything mundane is realized to be mystical and everything mystical is experienced in and through the mundane. Every minute of one’s life returns to being an act of supernatural love.
Falling in love is the most realistic state of being. When we first felt love and every time we feel love, we are in the heart of reality, and we see life most clearly and accurately. Being in love is not a romantic or naive delusion. Being in love is when we are most practical, when we are most ourselves, and when we are in alignment. To believe that being in love is fleeting or only experienced by those who are partially blind to life is the deepest lie. It is the ultimate form of cynicism and jadedness. It is not a sign of wisdom; it is a sign of deterioration, of subtly giving up on the fullness of life. Not only is it possible to live life in such a manner that you are perpetually in love, but it is the natural norm. It is offered to every single human and is able to be attained by every single human.
The seed of hēl was first planted in Andy during a neurotic breakdown at age 17. This experience gifted him with a very detailed map of the inside of the mind and a profound understanding of the specific beliefs and behaviors that keep heads full, hearts empty, and hands clenched tight.
A decade later, while directing an educational startup, Andy was burning himself to a crisp working 70-80 hours a week, spending many nights and Sundays away from his wife and growing family. Trying to find a solution to the overwhelm and apathy, he tried everything from complex productivity systems to literally electrocuting himself with a TENS machine (spoiler alert: electrocution did not work).”
Having already walked the “path of control” back at age 17, he sensed the way out was through the “path of creativity”. He needed something that would organize not just his professional life, but also his personal life. Something that would cut through the noise and provide the sense of clarity and peace of mind that left room for play and leisure. Something that was so simple, natural, and easy that it could enter into and enjoy the dance of life rather than try to “manage” it.
Finding modern methods overly industrial and routinely demanding a fragile sequence of steps in order to work, he used his background in ancient and medieval philosophy to break out of the productivity echo chamber of systems and build something new.
Recognizing nature as the ultimate icon of organization, he harmonized principles of anthropology and ecology to create an organic behavioral ecosystem, called the Art of Workflow. This ecosystem, consisting of just 4 simple behaviors, produces the same generative effect in the mind and heart as the patterns in nature they are modeled after.
Since 2020, Andy has helped creators work with a renewed sense of clarity, ease, and play by learning the Art of Workflow. A teacher at heart, Andy specializes in a high-touch, 1:1 style of coaching that facilitates autonomy and mastery.
Interviewed by the David Allen Company® for his research on the ancient & medieval foundations of workflow, he’s been invited to speak for members of the U.S. congress, Business leaders at organizations such as FOCUS and Ernst & Young, and numerous popular podcasts.
